Free Write Friday; Do You Know Who You Are

To participate in FWF, click here to read the introduction.
The hardest question for me, has always been “who are you?”… and the only thing I can think to say is “my name is Kellie, I love to write, I’m a mom proud mom and I have three dogs, two cats and a chicken…” Well you get the idea.
I suppose it’s so difficult for me because I feel as if I am never consistently the same person. I’m always changing. My mood, my goals, my outlook on life and situations. The only thing I’m constant with is absorbing the world around me and allowing it to influence me…maybe more than I should and then again maybe not. See….
So, “who are you” is the big question and topic of this weekends edition of Free Write Friday. Can you answer it? Dig deep and bring more than just your name and hobbies. Tell me, what makes you, YOU?
Have a great weekend!

We are never what we appear, but are always what we appear. Oxymoron?
One statement is from the inside, the other is from the observer.
A recent survey of teenagers, and it probably applies to older people to a lesser extent, revealed their overwhelming fear of ‘being found out’.
The question: “If your friends knew what you were really like, would they still like you?”
Answer: 95% said ‘No!”
I think all of us “put on faces” to some extent. And all of us have some fear of people knowing the real us. The one who picks our nose when nobody is looking or farts when we are alone or even the thoughts or fantasies we may have that we dare not speak of… We are just human and that is all.
My first free write friday. thanks, Kellie

Kellie…
“:I’d rather be hated for who I am,
than loved for who I am not.”
The second line of of this quote is so difficult…
been there trying to be someone I wasn’t
to prove to someone I loved them.
Perfect quote, in my opinion,
Be your authentic self…it pays well.

I agree totally! I’ve done the same thing and nothing turns out the way it should if your phony. Your true colors ALWAYS shine through sooner or later.
