Author Notes

Author Notes: Withering, Wondering and Waiting

Last week, Winter Goose Publishing, sent the final draft of Withering and asked me to write the dedications. It took me until today to get them done as I could have written an entire book filled with all the people who helped me along the way. And I could not have given thanks to anyone at all if I didn’t thank you. So, there is a special dedication to my fwf writing bandits & readers who frequent my blog and continue to inspire me with your words. I hope you don’t mind.

I don’t think it’s sunk in yet. The fact that I have a full fledged novella going to publication. I have been writing this story for years and never thought it would see the light of day. And when I think of that —  when I think of how long it took, and the work I put into it, I become terrified. And I begin to question myself.

That is an awful lot of time and effort that could possibly turn out to be wasted.

What if people hate it?
What if I made mistakes?
What if it doesn’t make sense?
What if I left something out?

Then I saw this quote… (and you know how I love quotes)

oh-well-what-if

But what if I fall?’
Oh, but darling, what if you fly?

Fingers crossed.

Release date coming soon.

  1. Kellie; many would love to be in your shoes, well done and Congratulations! Please keep us posted. Be optimistic and win! Winston Churchill said: “I am an optimist. It does not seem too much use being anything else.” Liz

  3. Kellie…no words can be wrong that are honest and from ones heart. They can critique your vocabulary…your grammar…your entire style of writing. However, No
one can ever critique your ideas..your feelings…or your heart. I’m so very proud of you…

Your friend in poetry and words…
